My name is Natalia. This year Kharkiv is a new city for me. I graduated from Luhansk Taras Shevchenko University with a bachelor's degree in teaching English and Turkish languages. In my third year of university I worked in Turkey to learn about the culture and improve my Turkish and English language skills. Besides, I got a bachelor's degree in Jurisprudence at Donetsk National University. Now I teach English and Turkish for beginners. My hobbie is a language in itself. I like to translate books from Turkish to English or Russian. Recently I've started working on Turkish novel "My name is Red" by Orhan Pamuk. I strongly recommend you to read Orhan Pamuk's books, i.e. "The Museum of Innocence", "Istanbul: Memories and the City". Most of all I like a novel "The Museum of Innocence", because a vital difference between ancient ethics and modern morality is evoked. So, now I'm a 5th year student in Karazin Kharkiv National University and my life is ready to be filled with new knowledge, ideas and acquintances.Pages

ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind words!
DeleteHello! Thank you for recommending some reading. I've read Pamuk's "The Black Book". It was truly enjoyable for me, and now I know what to grab next :)
ReplyDeleteIndeed, Orhan Pamuk is an ounstanding writer, but I also recommend you to read a novel "El kızı" by Orhan Kemal.
DeleteHello! You have a very interesting and useful hobby. I was in Turkey with my husband 1 year ago. We don't know Turkish but we know English. But the most interesting that natives didn't know English. And here we have understood that it was necessary to study Turkish)))But my husband saw that there is a book on the reseption in which the Turkish phrases were written by the Russian letters.... it was very cheerful when we began to speak with them on Turkish... but we understood nothing what they speak, just smiled )))) It's very modern to know a lot of foreign languages!
ReplyDeleteThis is a familiar case. Indeed, the majority of people in Turkey doesn't know English and guests don't know Turkish. In this situation, gestures help facilitate understanding))) So I advice you to learn Turkish, this language is easy and may be necessary on vocation in Turkey))
